First Aid at Work Courses

First Aid at Work (FAW)
A three day course designed in a way to comply with all legal aspects under the Health and Safety at Work act 1974 and satisfies the requirement for "fist aider at work" Candidates are individually assessed by independent evaluators.

Duration: 3 Days

Content: All EFA Core contents, broken bones, legislation, Riddor, food poisoning, revision, role play, exams.

First Aid at Work Refresher
A two day course for those who have already completed the four day FAW and wishes to renew their qualification

Duration: 2 Days

Condensed version of the FAW course.

Emergency First Aid at Work
Designed to equip candidates with the essential knowledge, confidence and skills to render first aid in emergencies. This is by far the most popular course as it covers the "appointed person" Emergency First Aid ait Work.

Duration: 1 Day

Introduction and basics, unconsciousness, CPR, Heart Attacks, Bleeding, Shock, Choking, Accident Reporting, Contents of First Aid boxes, Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Burns, Poisoning, Anaphylaxis, Head Injuries.

Cost:

Appointed Person (AP)
This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks, where a nominated or appointed person is required to take charge in the event of an illness or accident.

Duration: 1 Day

Content: Health and safety (first aid) regulations, managing an incident, the priorities of first aid, treatment of an unconscious casualty, resuscitation, shock, bleeding, common workplace injuries.
